Ending

 I think that the author should have made it so that the reader could find out what "elsewhere" was actually like. The author could've at least created a sequel instead of a companion book so we could see what Jonas's new life was like. In the ending, I also had many questions. Some of them were;

Is "elsewhere" just another utopian community?

Was he entering the memory of the holiday?

Was it his imagination?

If it was just another utopian community of sameness, was he sent back to the old one and released?
